During the Covid-19 crisis, some operators (the Santé Environnement Pour Tous (SEPT) association, and the CORHESAN project supported by the Marseille European Hospital and Prospective and Cooperation), institutions (ARS PACA, Public Health France) and a research structure (UMR1252 SESSTIM), have mobilized and distinguished by their health mediation and “going towards” actions.
They are now joining forces within the “13 en santé” project which is an extension of these actions.
« 13 en santé » aims to improve access to cancer screening and vaccination in priority neighbourhoods of Marseilles (7 districts, 360,000 inhabitants). It offers a complete range of health mediation interventions, both individual and collective, combining “go-to”, “bring-back” and “do with” actions, in close partnership with the healthcare offer and the neighbourhoods’ associational network. The interventions also take into account all the health needs expressed during the interviews, including access to rights.
The interventions are planned for a minimum of 3 to 5 years, the estimated time needed to cover all of the targeted territories.
In order to document the project for its transferability and to measure the impact of the interventions on knowledge, the use of vaccination and organized screening, and more broadly, on the use of care, the project includes a multilevel scientific evaluation developed by a Technical Committee of assessment.
