The aim of this workshop-debate is to “visualize” the impact, over several decades, of major development cooperation policies. How to measure these impacts in all their involvements? And who has interest in this evaluation? Different “sectors” of international solidarity must be considered.

Thus, we propose to focus on primary health care:

  • what results 35 years after?
  • what remains of the important investments made in local development?

This kind of question, provided that it is conducted thoroughly and following a rigorously participatory approach, may lead to very interesting and even quite caustic results.

Speakers:

  • Alain LEPLAIDEUR – Prospective and Cooperation, ex IRD-CIRAD-MAE : “The definition of a practical methodology for measuring the effects and impacts of agricultural development projects in West Africa: presentation of an ongoing experiment”

  • Marc LESCAUDRON, Prospective and Cooperation
